In Nerja, often described as the Costa Del Sol's best kept secret, you will find a maze of delightful narrow winding streets, churches, squares, shops, bars and restaurants with enough choice to suit all tastes and budgets.
The centre of the town is undoubtedly the famous Balcon de Europa where you can experience magnificent views over the Mediterranean sea and in the evening enjoy street musicians, artists or take a ride in a horse drawn carriage! This whole area is paved with marble and features an avenue of mature palm trees, whitewashed buildings, colourful displays of flowers and public seating relax and watch the world go by!
Nerja also has several good beaches on either side of the Balcon de Europa and car parking facilities are dotted around the town.

Nerja marks the eastern tip of the Costa del Sol, just some 50 kilometres (31 miles) from Malaga, about 45 minutes drive from Malaga's Airport along the N340 coastal highway. Once a sleepy fishing village, the town now has a population of over 15,000.
